百米粉 @ Sembwang~

As you can see, I've changed my picture~ Woohoo. Wanted to change the layout of my blog but ended up giving up on the thought because I'm suppose to sleep by 11pm actually. *gurp* Look at the time now!

The reason why I'm here despite the time, is because I have to, I must share this with all you awesome readers. Those who followed my twitter will know that I actually went to 三巴旺百米粉 for dinner just now.

So I decided to do a food review on my blog for them. Since I've got readers from other countries. Maybe you people might give it a try when you visit Singapore!

Their 'hai zou' and  fried Batang fish.

My fav Lala
First time visiting this store, was recommended by Brother Eng. The photos might look a bit of not that appetizing, but I swear it's really good. Halfway through eating then I decide to do a food review for them. Their specialty  百米粉 really Daebak! (Y) The beehoon was so chewy and what's more it doesn't fats up. You know when you soak or fry or cook beehoon your beehoon will eventually grow thicker. But not for this! The gravy cooked with was just nice, not too much not too little, when the beehoon absorbs the gravy, the beehoon still stays as slim as it is. 

The Mee Goreng was introduced by Nicholas. Splendid Mee Goreng cooked. I always have the thought that such nice Mee Goreng's can only come from those roti prata stores? But nooooo. You can grab it here. Do try them if you're there. 

Their 'hai zou' was a very different from outside one. It's something like ngoh hiang, but they mince their prawns up and eventually mix with minced meat. On the outside it's crispy and soft inside. Whoop whoop. Delicious. Not forgetting the Fried Batang Fish. Simple fried fish, but they don't have the fishy smell. It will be a great one if you don't enjoy eating fish because of fishy smell.

Now, the Lala! My all time favourite. Y'know the way they fry is so different from what I usually eat from either those stingray stall or tzi-char stall. It's so dry yet super super nice. Not too spicy, for non-spicy eaters. You can go ahead with this. It's really great eating it with their 百米粉 I swear. 

We actually managed to finish all the food(4 people) and then leave the place with big wide smile. It's really a great place to dine in whenever there's no homecooked food. So readers, what are you waiting for? Go try them soon! The shop is actually located opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre(SSC). There's free shuttle bus over to SSC at Sembawang Mrt(the bus-stop outside 7-11) and Yishun Mrt(taxi stand beside the mrt on the left). During dinner time, it will usually take like 20 minutes to queue for seats. But hey great food's worth the wait right? Do try them!
